I love white sage, but I am in love with Palo Santo. I'm in love with the story of how Palo Santo happens. Palo Santo is native to South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrhh, and Copal. Its aroma is divine—very fresh smelling with hints of mint and citrus—proving to be one of the most fragrant woods in the world. The thing that is so wonderful about this tree is that it does not produce all of its goodness until it has fallen naturally and is dead for 4-10 years.
This resonated with me because I wasn't able to give the world any of my goodness until I had fallen and experienced some death from my old ways, behaviors and thought processes..Ok, so back to the tree. If the tree is cut down prematurely, it will not produce any essential oil and the wood will not be as fragrant. Amazing right? The tree shows me that life is indeed a process!!

Palo Santo is well known for uses for inspiring creativity, evoking protection, enriching blessings and encouraging love and good fortune. It works well both before and during your meditation. Its uplifting scent helps to raise your vibration to bring a deeper connection to your purpose.
How to Use:
Use a match or lighter to light your stick of Palo Santo. Be sure to hold the stick at about a 45-degree angle to help ignite it. Allow it to burn for about 30 secs or so and then blow out. Walk around your workspace, your home, or anywhere you would like to clear the energy and infuse with positive intentions. The aroma will promote peace and clarity to the moment along with good feelings. When finished, place the stick in a fireproof bowl of metal, glass or clay. The glow will self-extinguish unless you blow on the ember which will keep the smoke going. Always use caution when working with fire.
